GPA Central Oklahoma/Hounds of the Heartland’s Adoption Fee or Cost to Adopt a Greyhound is
$200.00.
This fee covers: veterinarian exam, vaccinations, heartworm test, worming, neuter/spay, dental cleaning, leash
and collar, and uniquely numbered Hounds of the Heartland ID tag. Said funds
are considered a donation, i.e., a voluntary and non-solicited transfer made
gratuitously.
We do not make any profit on the adoption fee. In fact, we take a loss with each greyhound that is adopted out as the
expenses to vet and care for a greyhound exceeds our adoption fee. We bridge
the gap with donations from wonderful people like you!
GPA Central Oklahoma/Hounds of the Heartland is a 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization. $150.00 of your
adoption fee is tax deductible.
